I’ll miss you George

George Carlin Dead at Age 71

I’m glad I got to see him perform live a couple of times. He was amazing. My all time favorite comedian and social critic. I don’t know what else to say. He meant a lot to me.

Well, now he’s one with The Big Electron. WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! hehehe ;)

be sure to check out WFZR - I’ll be doing a 2 day marathon of George.

“Here is the Secret News:

All people are afraid.
No one knows what they’re doing.
Everything is getting worse.
Some people deserve to die.
Your money is worthless.
No one is properly dressed.
At least one of your children will disappoint you.
The system is rigged.
Your house will never be completely clean.
All teachers are incompetent.
There are people who really dislike you.
Nothing is as good as it seems.
Things don’t last.
No one is paying attention.
The country is dying.
God doesn’t care.
Shhhhhhh.”

Fun, weird FZ stuff!

Someone decided to do a mash up of Zappa and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The song is Dancin’ Fool and the video is Give It Away.компютри втора употреба The guy that did it did some creative editing and it works. Of course I prefer this song to RHCP one. I remember hearing this song back when I was like 11 years old and liking it. I still enjoy it a lot. As goofy as it is there’s a lot of cool stuff happening musically in this tune.

After that go back in time 42 years and listen to this (the video never changes, it’s just the album cover image) :

I love some of the lines in this one…

What will you do if we let you go home,
And the plastic’s all melted,
And so is the chrome?

What will you do when the label comes off,
And the plastic’s all melted,
And the chrome is too soft?

What will you do if the people you knew
Were the plastic that melted,
And the chromium too?
WHO ARE THE BRAIN POLICE?

Madonna plays Pantera

May 17th, 2008

I got a kick out of this. I’ve always liked Madonna but kind of had a falling out with her (we never talk anymore these days) when she went on Oprah talking about how she wasn’t into material things, but at the same time was in a Gap commercial (I think it was Gap) with Missy Elliot and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of bling. So now that’s she’s into metal I’m liking her a little more again hahaha.

Anyway if you want to skip ahead to what this is about, the part I’m talking about is very near the end, around 6:20. They’re doing the song “Hung Up” but then end it with a riff from the song “A New Level” from the awesome album “Vulgar Display Of Power.” Is Dimebag Darrell spinning in his grave? I have no idea but I actually think he would dig it. But who knows. I enjoy it, mainly because it’s so out there to see a 49 year old Madonna playing Pantera.

Inmate Count in U.S. Dwarfs Other Nations’ - New York Times

This is why we’re in Iraq. Because they didn’t have enough prisons. We’re bringing “Democracy” to the Middle East. Yay. ;)

I love this quote:

“The U.S. pursues the war on drugs with an ignorant fanaticism,” said Ms. Stern of King’s College.

Some say that it works, and that crime is down. But doesn’t seem weird that we’ve got so many more people in prison than they do in China? Something to think about.

Muxtape

April 16th, 2008

I found out about this from Carrie Brownstein’s blog at NPR, so of course I had to make my own little mix of tunes. It seems like the thing to do right now. So here’s mine that I threw together with no rhyme or reason.

godrex.muxtape.com - - a little web surfing music…

…just click a song to get it started playing.

April 11th, 2008

from 7:25am - 8:25am

(warning - inside jokes ahead and scatological references - this was an e-mail to mom to make her happy at work hahaha ;) )

So I’m laying in bed with baby Fitzgereld (Aidan, 2.5 month) and he’s fitzin and fussin so I decide get up and feed him because he seems hungry. Baby Chaos (Owen - 2 years) is running around doing whatever…

I put Fitz in the swing and start heating up the last of Wed. milk… about 3.5 oz

While it heats I sit at the computer in the dinning room and Owen is playing. He tells me that he made baby Aidan happy. I tell him what a good brother he is.

Fitz is starting to boil over so I get the bottle and we sit on the couch… he drinks about half the bottle… doesn’t want anymore…has a nice burp… all is happy there…

While Fitz is drinking, the OTHER ONE is pooping under the table. I’m in no hurry to deal with him because I’m tired of him not telling me that he has to poop or even that he just did poop.

I decide to change Aidan out of his sleep sack and get him a new diaper. He pees on the changing table. A lot. Mostly while I’m not looking.

While getting him done NUMBER ONE SON comes over and says “daddy I’ve got poop on my hand” and shows me his left hand, all covered in poop. I ask “how the heck did you get poop on your hand?!?” “I put it down my pants…” “why did you do that?” “I wanted to clean the poop off my butt.”

I grab Aidan, who has been all happy and good this whole time, and put him in the crib, which causes him to immediately start screaming as if I had ripped one of his limbs off.

I grab Poopy Hand and head for the bathroom

I strip him down and lift him into the tub. his ass is covered with shit. I have the warm water running and I’m splashing his ass with the water but it’s not doing much. Owen is starting to get upset, saying “daddy I don’t like this” - - I find the 2 qt container and beginning dumping the water on his ass and he’s crying his eyes out and fighting me to get out - I check the water and it’s not hot, maybe a little cold but not bad. Aidan is screaming bloody murder and Lilly is barking. After a few more dumps of the water Owen starts to calm down a little. I think he realized it’s not that horrible. I get most of the poop off. I get him dried off and in a diaper while Aidan continues to freak… I pick Aidan up and he’s fine - he stops crying. I put him in the swing and turn it on and he falls asleep in like 5 seconds.

I have Owen’s shit diaper in the sink - have some trouble finding a bag for it - finally find some - go to throw it outside - the bucket thing isn’t there.

I scratch my nose and I smell shit on my hand - I wash hands and use a wipe on my face - go to throw it out and there’s no garbage can…

I get owen dressed and make him breakfast.

the end.

Kids songs these days…

April 7th, 2008

…are not like they were when I was a kid. They’re a lot cooler.

I think I even like these more than Owen. See if they don’t get stuck in your head. ;) Here are my favorite songs right now. All from The Backyardigans: Tale of the Mighty Knights.

We’re Knights

A Challenge
Goblin
Tweedily Dee
Dragon Mountain

Prince and The Revolution

April 4th, 2008

That group was so amazing to me. The movie was dumb as hell but the performance part are some of the best I’ve ever seen. No one can do it like Prince. I love the synchronized dancing. I’ve been in love with Wendy for like 24 years now hahaha. :)

Computer Blue

I love that everyone is disgusted by Prince and Wendy’s simulated oral sex act, even the slutty girls in the Apollonia Six group, who later in the movie perform the classic song Sex Shooter while dressed in skimpy lingerie. ;)

This goes out to Sissy hahaha:
